Hawaii ~ Day 3 ~ The House

On Sunday the Owens stayed at the house and slept and relaxed. The kids (and maybe their daddy) really needed a day to just have a slow pace and get some naps in and overall just chill out. It was very nice. I am posting the pics that the company posted of the house - they are much better than anything I could do. Above is the pool - there was an entry gate from the drive way that lead right into the pool and then the house. Below this what we saw when we walked in the front door. It was very pretty.
The living room was through the entry off to the left. A huge tv and big comfy couch. We all enjoyed watching movies in the evenings.
The big kitchen - we all kind of laughed that as big as it seemed we really did run into each other a lot. April was awesome and made up a menu on the flight and we got all the food at Costco and then prepped it that day so we could just grill the meat and throw some sides together and eat. We had a lot of snacks and fruit that made lunches easy for the beach!
This was the huge dining room just off the right of the living room. Truthfully we rarely ate here because there was a table in the kitchen that the kids used and then the adults would usually eat out on the huge porch. The McKenna's did school work and the guys had a laptop so the table did not go unused but just not really for meals ;)
This was our upstairs suite - it was very nice! A large living room area (where the couch is). We folded that out into the bed that Jacob slept on and then we slept on the other side of the wall and Rebekah slept in our walk in closet. It was a great set up. We were on the opposite of the house and upstairs so it was quiet for the kids when they were sleeping.
This is a view of our side of the room with the balcony - it's a shame we didn't spend much time on it - really we spent no time at all... Did you remember that spider picture from days 1 and 2... well we just said that was his home and we enjoyed the back porch downstairs. Although there were no curtains so in the mornings we had a bright and beautiful mornings!
This was the back porch. Lots of places to sit and relax and of course the awesome hot tub and a table and chairs for meals. If you turned right at the end you would have the area where there was a grill and then a screened in porch with a bar and mini-fridge that also led back into the kitchen area.
Then the beautiful view from the back porch. Now I will say this - these pictures were certainly done by a professional. If you eve want to sell your house by the pictures alone you should call them up and have them come over. I say that because they really put a much better spin on some of the places by the angles... The lawn really was very small in comparison to the actual lawn. It really didn't matter all that much because with the pool, hot tub and huge living room the kids had plenty of things to do. And at night when April would light the tiki torches around the lawn it was just perfect! All in all it was a beautiful house and we were so privileged to be able to go here with our good friends! We all had a great time! So here was our gorgeous house and day 3 this is what we enjoyed all day. It was lovely.
