We went to another beach just down the road from us called Anini Beach. It was a calm beach with lots of snorkeling. The perfect beach for our kids. Cole is already snorkeling right behind us. It was so fun to have both the kids in the water. It was pretty windy so it was almost chilly in the water but you did get used to it quickly.

This beach was also like the one we went to the second day we were in Hawaii - not really sandy but more little tiny rocks - I sort of liked it better because the rocks don't stick in every crevice like sand does...

This is such a fun picture for me because if you go back to our first day at the beach Rebekah was crying hard in the chair. She got some good rest and was a transformed little girl! She really did enjoy being in the water and playing in the sand by the end of the trip!

Playing on the beach.

This was also a great beach because we had lots of shade right next to the water. Jake and I were burned pretty bad just after we got there. We were dumb and didn't lather up because we were so worried about not letting the kids get burned! Dumb!! We were pretty miserable the rest of the trip so we had to be careful :) We didn't stay too long here but long enough to see some fish and play in the water and have a good time. You know that's the great thing about Kauai to me - you do not feel like you have to spend all day at the beach - they are literally all around you and you can go and if you don't like it you can go home or pick another. They are all different and you can just pick up and go anytime. It was great! The older kids liked the beaches with waves and the younger kids liked the calmer waters but we could all have fun no matter what. It was perfect!
