Rain, Rain, Go Away...

We had a huge rainstorm last week and here some before and after pictures - really I put them in backwards just to show how much it flooded from all the rain. We have lived here 3 years and have never seen this happen before it that doesn't tell you how much rain fell in a short amount of time.

Yes, that is a green electrical box that is almost covered up! That was a little scary. We checked with most of our neighbors and thankfully no one had a flooded basement. My parents neighborhood was hit a little harder. In fact of the 3 houses right next to my parents all of them had their basements flooded. My parents were out trying to help put sandbags up for the people across the street. It really was a massive storm that dumped rain for hours on end and it was just too much for the drainage in some areas.
