Papa's idea of cleaning up the leaves...

After our sad attempt at planting tulips at my parents house we came home to make dinner and attempt to clean up the MASSIVE amounts of leaves in our front yard. My dad got our blower out and was blowing all the leaves into one spot. I thought it was to make it easier to clean up...
No, it was to make a pile for Jacob to play in and he loved every second of it. The pile was almost taller than he was. When he jumped into it he would disappear.
The only thing he did not like was when the leaves got into his mouth but that only slowed him down for a second and then right back at it.
My camera was acting very funny so I only have a few pictures and most of these are not that great of all the fun they were having out front. Never fear though - with our huge trees every year is like Ground Hog Day with the ridiculous amount of leaves we have to clean up.
In fact, when it's really windy we kind of get excited to see our leaves blowing down the street. I feel bad but it only last a second because as our leave blow into our neighbors yard the same thing is happening to us from the neighbors up the street. Its a lose-lose situation :)
When daddy got home, Jacob wanted him to join in the fun!
"1, 2, 3 toss the leaves up so mom can take out picture of us throwing dirty leaves onto ourselves. Then I can go pick the leaves off my new jacket." Well that's not exactly how he said it but if you know Jake, you know it sounded something like that :) He really did enjoy seeing how much fun Jacob was having and he humored him very well with the leaf tossing even if it did get his new jacket a little "dirty". He is such a good daddy!!
