Tonight was the first "Thursday Nights in Pella" and it was kids night! Thursdays in June the downtown square has a themed night out for families with food vendors, games and goodies in conjunction with whatever the theme is and all the local stores stay open late. Our friend Ryan is the bank manager at Community 1st Bank and he was in charge of driving their train around the square. Lucky Jacob got to ride up front!
We weren't sure he'd actually stay in the train car by himself and neither of us wanted to climb in and take the ride then Ryan said he'd hold him! Lucky us! Next year buddy you can ride in the train cars! I know you'll like it.

i see those pictures and part of me wishes gwen, me and the kids lived in a small town...

we love every minute of it but being so far from family is a major sacrifice... jake summed it up for us the other day - he said you know living here is like always being on vacation - whenever we go to WA to visit I can't wait to get back home and relax :) couldn't have said it better myself!
