The "Owens" siblings and our Aunt Peggy all rented a house by Turner Falls for the 3-50 Family Reunion. Three people were turning 50 this summer so we all go together to celebrate. We all had a great time. Above is a picture from the main floor of the
Adair Lake House #2 that we rented. Some of Jake's cousins and their families rented house #1 right next door. That really made it nice to have us all so close together. There were some people who stayed at other locations but this was the main place to be.

The kids all had fun hanging out. Jacob made himself comfy in Elijah's lap watching some cartoons just after we arrived. Noah and Jonah were hanging out on the back porch - it was very HOT and humid in Oklahoma this weekend.

The house had an open upstairs so we were able to move the tables out for everyone to eat on and then move them back so the kids could have room to run around. The downstairs was mainly filled with beds so we pretty much hung out upstairs. It was a blast!

Aunt Jay found a turtle and put it in a box for the kids to play with.

The garage of the house next door had a ping pong table. Here are some of Jacob's 2nd cousins playing around. This was the first time anyone in Jake's extended family had met Jacob so that was fun.

Below is a great shot of Jacob's cousin Madison. Doesn't she have an angelic little face!!!

There was also a huge playroom with a mini-pool table and a foosball table for the kids to play with at the house next door. Our house quickly became the "get-a-way" for people who wanted a little quieter place to hang out. It was perfect because we were close enough to hang out but still be able to put Jacob & Madison down for naps and to bed at a decent time.

Jacob is just like his daddy and loves to play with laptops and keyboards.

Jacob was showing Madison how it all worked.

Then they had fun watching some Curious George.

Noah, Charlie, Tanya, Amy, Aunt Peggy and Aunt Lois (left to right) all hanging out at the table having a good time. Aunt Lois was one of the people turning 50 this year!

Jake and Jacob walking around in between the houses. Jacob really did want to go outside but it was so hot that he'd be bright red within a few minutes just from the heat. After he fell and hit his head on a rock we decided it was time to go inside and cool off.

I will have to get copies of the family pictures that we took from someone else but I did snap this one because it was soo funny. We did an entire family photo (thanks to Uncle Charlie and his cool camera!) and then they did individual family shots. It was lunchtime and Madison and Jacob were pretty hungry so they did the family shot first. In fact, Jacob was chanting 'yogurt' and 'pancake' just in case we didn't realize he was hungry. I took them in to have lunch and when I looked outside this is what I saw so I ran out and took a picture of the paparazi! Too funny!!

This is Amy and Aunt Peggy! We were all telling Peggy that she has not aged one bit. I have known her for 9 years and she has always looked this beautiful! Jake and Amy said she's looked this good long before I came around! It was so great having her stay with us!

Saturday afternoon we went over to the house that was on the "lake" and went in the water for a little bit. When Jacob first got in he went face first into the water - he didn't really like that too much:)

Madison really liked playing in the "juice" which is what she calls all liquid.

They had dumped some sand type stuff to make the beach area and the kids like digging around. I'll have to get pictures from Aunt Miki of them riding in the canoe which was the hit of the afternoon.

This is the dock that everyone was hanging out on.

Sam was trying his hand at some fishing in the little cove. I think I saw him catch some bushes on the other side but that was about it :)

And then there was Jacob who was trying to ride the tractor around the living room. He'd get it right under him and sit down then say "Bye" to everyone.

Madison was being silly and running around! Jacob thinks she's pretty funny. We are very glad they are here in Pella for a few weeks so we can get to know her better.

This isn't a great picture because of the light from the windows but it sums up these two little goof balls! Madison is cracking up at something and Jacob is making silly faces trying to climb up on the couch with me. They were so good for this trip and really handled going to bed so late very well!
