Grandma Jan & Grandpa Paul's Visit

Grandma at the hotel in OKC. The funny part to this was that Jake and I had a late start leaving Pella and didn't get in to the hotel until about 2:30am. We walked in and my parents said "Hi, glad you made it safe" then the next thing we know they are taking Jacob out of the carseat and hugging and kissing him. We are offically chopped liver. But that is just fine with us:)
Saturday was a hard day for Jacob. He had been on the go all week and just out of any sort of routine we had before. He was fighting sleep and wasa little bit fussy. Grandma rocking him in the chair was all it took. He was out! Then grandpa took his turn so grandma could eat dinner.
Isn't it just sweet to look at?
Grandpa and Jacob at Smokey Row - the local coffee shop with some good grub too. We ate there after driving around town on Saturday. We had a great time with my parents. They are seriously considering moving to Pella in the near future. We spent most of Friday morning looking at houses with a Realtor. When the realtor asked what my parents were looking for we had to laugh - My dad wants an acerage outside of town and my mom wants an old craftsman type home in town so she can walk all over. So we set out to look at both types. We did find one really cute house on almost 3 acres that is truly just as you are headed out of town. After seeing this house my mom thought she could handle living "outside" of town. The only bad thing was that this house did not have a basement. It will be a little while before everything comes together for them to actually move but we'll keep an eye out for properties and see what's available when the time comes. It would be great to have them move here! Jacob loves to be around them and we'd love to have more family around. Now all we need are Mimi & Papa and the Stewart to all move out here. Hint Hint Hint :)
