Tulip Time in Pella is a HUGE "to do" here in Pella, Iowa. You can google Pella Tulip Time if you want to read more about it but it's a major deal. It is 3 days of parades, costumes, tourists, and food. It really is a fun thing to enjoy. This is our second year enjoying it but I do have to say it does change things. Most people around here have grown with it and it does not bother them too much. But our nice quiet town has hundreds of thousands of people come through and lots of streets are closed for vendors and parade routes. This really throws a wrench in your plans to just run by the post office or grab a coffee at the local coffee shop. But again it's only a few days so we can just wait until Monday to go back to our normal life. Below are some photos from this week.

This is Jacob's cousin Elijah (in the blue) with some of his classmates. They are waiting to walk in the parade in their Dutch costumes.

Here is Jonah (in blue) in his costume waiting to walk in the parade with his class.

Here are all of the boys in their Dutch costumes by some tulips. Aren't they so handsome! Every year Amy goes around on Wednesday before Tulip Time starts (on Thursday) and she takes their pictures in several parks around town.

Here are all the cousins together. Madison was visiting with her parents this past week. It was really fun for everyone to be together. It was actually really windy outside when we took this picture but the tulips are still beautiful. This was taken in the square right in the middle of town. It was great to have all the family together (except Mimi and Papa) but we should all be together at Thanksgiving so we look forward to seeing everyone again.
