My mom was able to come for 2 weeks to help us out. She arrived the day we left the hospital and left last night. She was such a huge help! We were able to have clean clothes and a clean house because of her. Not to mention the fact that little Jacob had a warm cozy grandma to sleep on all hours of the day. That was the best thing ever. We could take a nap anytime and not worry about oversleeping or having to listen for Jacob. He was in good hands. We are hoping this little guy will be a good incentive for Grandma and Grandpa to come live in Pella. I know it would be hard for them but I know they would love living here and even more so love living by their grandson. Auntie Stacy also came to visit for 4 days the weekend we were first home. She was so excited to meet him and it was great. Luckily he is too young to learn the "fun" things that she can't wait to teach him. She lives in Oklahoma so it's only an 8 hour drive and hopefully we'll be able to see her quite often. It was great to have the girls together. Needless to say Jake was ready to go back to work after his week off :) My dad was not able to come this time but he'll be coming soon to meet his grandson and we all can't wait for that!
