Our little family at Tulip Time 2010. This was Saturday morning when our town succeeded in making a new Guinness World Record for the most people dancing in wooden shoes! I'll repost with the exact count once we find out but we did find out we made the record. We were so happy that Rebekah slept the for the entire hour we were gone! She didn't do too well on Thursday when I tried to go up town so it was great we were able to stay for the whole thing.

It was impossible to get pictures of all the crowds but the dancers circled the entire square 3 times around and then the inside and outside of the square were filled with all of the spectators. It was really fun but it was also FREEZING outside!

Here are some ladies dressed up in Dutch costumes. This little girl was dancing and just looked so cute! We'll eventually have to get costumes for the kids once they are in school because they are in the parades every day but most people who grew up around here have costumes handed down so little kids are wearing their mom's or dad's costumes. It's really a great and elaborate festival and anyone who would want to come visit is welcome!! You'd really love it!
