Evening with the Sinclairs

We watched 3 of the Sinclair boys tonight while Amy and Charlie went to Noah's Honor Choir performance in Des Moines. We had a great time! It started with some block building (and knocking down of course!)

And then Micah showing Jacob how to draw and write.

The drawing session ended with a mini wrestling match - Micah was such a good sport and played along with Jacob! Actually Jonah and I had a little laugh - Jacob kept interrupting them while they were playing and I said to Micah that Jonah was used to it because this is what Micah would do at this age to his older brothers. Micah never was annoyed but you could tell he wasn't used to having a little one get in the middle of everything.
Elijah had fun taking apart and putting together his new lego car - it can be made into 3 different vehicles. He had one made when we got there and made another after dinner. Pretty cool!

Jonah had to practice his Oboe and Jacob L-O-V-E-D that! He loves music and was enamored with Jonah's great playing! It was fun being serenaded after dinner. Thank you Jo!

During dinner the boys were singing a a few songs they heard on the playground and were making us laugh so Jake got out the laptop and found them. All the boys gathered around watching the video and laughing!

We had a great evening with the boys! Amy made an awesome dinner for us. Really it was the easiest gig one could ask for. Show up and play and eat then get them to bed. We did practice verses for Awana tomorrow night and had some fun with a toy that changes your voice when you talk into the microphone. Jake had the boys laughing and tried to record his new voicemail for work in a voice that sounded like those computerized ransom calls on tv. It was pretty funny! But since its a work phone he couldn't leave it on there. Thanks boys for being so good and playing with Jacob! Hope to do it again soon :)
