Jacob celebrated his first "1st" birthday tonight with his Aunt Amy, Uncle Charlie and cousins ~ Noah, Jonah, Elijah and Micah. Aunt Amy made an Owens family favorite of baked
ziti's for dinner. She also made yummy beer bread from Tastefully Simple and 2 yummy dips to go with it.
Jake's side of the family all pitched in and got Jacob an awesome tool kit and workbench. In fact when the boys came home and saw it in the living room they got excited and thought it was cool. Then Amy told them it was for Jacob and they said he was
sooo lucky!
Micah and Aunt Amy were showing him what to do with the tools and daddy was putting batteries in the drill.
And you can't open presents without a little background music! While Micah was helping Jacob open his gifts - Noah, Jonah & Elijah were entertaining us with some Rock Band on the
Wii.
Micah was so kind and helped Jacob open all of his gifts. He kept holding the paper and trying to show Jacob how to tear it.
Check that thing out! The box alone is as big as Jacob. In fact Jake said "Now Jacob has more tools than I do." Can't wait to put it together - although we'll probably wait until we are back from Washington.

Thank you guys for making my 1st birthday so much fun. Even though I have a major cold and runny nose and the boys weren't all 100% we all had a fun night!
