We were so hot after the 4th of July parade that it was nice to go back to Grandma and Papa's house and cool off in the water. We put up the slip-n-slide from last summer. It was Rebekah's first time and she LOVED it!
Jacob had fun running up and down (he doesn't really "slide" but he loves playing on it.
Jacob and Daddy showed Rebekah how to step on the water part to make it go higher...
This was her favorite part.
Then the fun started! Daddy tried to show Jacob how to 'use' the slip-n-slide!
He was the master slider of the night!
Although as soon as he got up he realized that throwing yourself on the ground at a full run may be best suited for the 'ahem' younger crowd :) Needless to say - he needed to get an adjustment from our chiropractor the next day. But it was still fun to hear Jacob talk about it all night!
Rebekah wasn't quite sure if she liked the water on her face or not but either way she had fun. Papa barbecued and we ate and re-hydrated and cooled off and slept very well that night. It was a wonderful 4th of July!
