The last thing before we walked out the door ~ taking family and group shots! As you can see Jacob is really into posing for the camera (not!). We went to Hawaii with our good friends the Mckenna's. We really miss them! We have been blessed to be able to see them on most of our trips to WA but this is the first time in two years we've all been together! It was wonderful.
Mike's parents ~ Kate and Bob ~ were there with us as well. They were Grammie and Papa to all the kids and it was wonderful. 
McKenna's & Owens ~ Kauai 2011We hope to do these family vacations every year or two. There is just something very special about spending time with your best friends when you don't live by each other. It was just like old times and the laughs and friendship was just like the "old" days. We love these guys! And it was such an encouragement to be around other believers who have older children because you can see that your work will pay off even if you can't see it now!
