Jacob's Big Boy Room (In Progress...)

So here we go on the journey of turning the "blue" room into Jacob's big boy room. When we moved in this entire room was painted a light baby blue so we have always referred to it as the blue room.
There is one shorter wall so we made it the accent wall and painted it a fun (but darker) blue color. When I say "we" I really mean my mom! She painted the entire room minus the few times Jacob helped her. The rest of the room is a brown color and the trim was painted all white.
Then my dad installed new carpet. We were going to leave the wood floor alone but it really needed to be stained and refinished and we thought carpet would be a little more cozy. Jacob LOVED it!!
After the carpet was installed I couldn't wait to get the bed frame up so the boys went to work. It is such a nice bed frame! We all laughed that it is so much nicer than any of us ever had as kids. But this will last through the years or at least that is the plan.
The boys were hard at work!Papa and Jacob were starting the screws and Daddy was finishing them.
So here is the room in progress and as you can see Buster finds the new carpet quit comfy as well. The mattress came yesterday so once we get the curtains and some more things inside we'll get the finished product posted for you.
Truthfully I have been almost no help. This was Daddy's office with 6 bookshelves full of books and all of his computer equipment in it. He emptied it and put moved his office to the smaller room. My mom did all the painting and dad did the floors. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
