I can not believe it's been a year since Uncle Mike was here last with his big "Mac" truck as Jacob like's to call all semi's. I will have to dig up the picture from last year so I can see how much Jacob has grown!
He was a pretty funny this year going up in the truck. Last year we couldn't get him out and this year he got up in the front and was pretty excited because he saw the bed and the TV but then was done and wanted out.
Uncle Mike put him up in the top part that holds 2 of Nationwide race cars. He was SOOOO excited - he kept saying "2 cars!" but was a little too scared to actually touch them.
Papa took him over to check out the other "Mac" truck in the hotel parking lot. It is a bummer that you have to be 18 to go into the pits at a NASCAR race because I think Jacob would love to be back there and see all the trucks and the race cars. Papa and Daddy were able to go and Grandma, myself and the kids watched it on tv (but we didn't mind because it was pretty hot outside). The guys had a great time!

It was so awesome to see Uncle Mike! He even worked it out to be able to come to Pella and stay almost all day Thursday and then Friday morning before "reporting" for duty.
We had a family dinner once Jake and my mom were home from work.

It was pretty hot out but the guys played for quite a while.
He shoots and he SCORES!
Jacob also got in on the cheering action :)
Uncle Mike brought some cool hats for Papa and Daddy (NASCAR sponsor type hats) but he didn't forget Jacob!
When he told me he got a hat for Jacob, I said he never wears them but that was a great thought! Well he proved us all wrong - this is the ONLY hat he will wear. Not for long periods of time but he always wants to know where his hat is and he'll wear it for a few minutes at a time!
Just goofing around taking some silly pictures for Uncle Mike to show Aunt Terry when he got home:) We LOVED seeing him and can't wait to see him again and hopefully Aunt Terry too!
