4th of July Parade

MOM! THE PARADE IS STARTING AND PAPA JUST GOT ME A SNO-CONE!
Jacob and Papa went across the street to get sno-cones and came back across just before the parade started. Jacob thought that was pretty cool! Daddy volunteered to hold Bekah... it was the only spot in the shade too...
This is the funny face Jacob makes when you are asking him to smile and look at you. He thinks its funny to try to keep a serious face - only problem is he can't hold it for very long:) The parade is fun but as Jacob learned you get lots of candy too! He loved that he got a bucket from one of the banks so he could work on filling it up (which he did).
He was SO very excited to see the Basement Band playing the drums. We had watched them on a Thursday night a few weeks ago and he loved it. He was rocking out and dancing to them.
I didn't get a great picture but we all thought this was funny - a purple tractor! Jacob saw it before we did and started saying "Look, Look a purple tractor!"
And I think this next one stole the show ~ Thomas the Tank Engine! Jacob was so excited!
There were a ton of tractors of all shapes and sizes but this was the smallest tractor any of us had ever seen - especially in comparison to the big tractors he was driving behind. I mean seriously what do you do with this?
This was Tony the Tractor - we actually passed him on our way to the parade - he was parked at our neighbors house. Jacob thought it was pretty cool to see in the parade too. These were all of Jacob's favorite things except one - I didn't get a picture of his cousin Jonah with his winning baseball team! Jacob was SOOOOOO excited to see him - we were yelling his name and he finally heard us and waived at Jacob. During dinner Jacob was re-enacting the entire scene - cupping his hands over his mouth yelling "Jonah" "Jonah" "Look mom he waived" It was really cute! Congrats Jonah!
Rebekah woke up and dad passed her off to Grandma. I have to say this was the first real day we had Rebekah out and about all day long and she was an absolute angel! She had the best day since her birth and I am not exaggerating! It was wonderful to be able to go out and do things and enjoy time with Jacob and not have to worry about her! Grandma and Rebekah had he "safe" seat when the parade was over. They wrap up the parade with two firetrucks spraying water on the crowd from their hoses. We were so hot we were waiving at them in hopes to get some water... next year we may try just smiling instead of waiving. We got SOAKED! It did feel good but man it was a long walk back to the car sopping wet. It was a terrific end to a fun parade! Happy 4th of July!
